Agoura Hills Construction
Week of August 24, 2026
Activity
Crews will continue several activities within the Advanced Water Purification Facility (AWPF) site, including:
- Backfilling and importing dirt as part of ongoing site earthwork
- Mobilizing and installing shoring (excavation support)
- Continuing construction of the soil nail retaining wall
- Asphalt restoration along eastbound Agoura Road in front of the AWPF site
Shoring installation will be a primary construction activity at the AWPF site for approximately the next two weeks. This work is necessary to provide support for excavation and ongoing construction within the site.
Due to the nature of this activity, additional daytime construction noise and occasional vibration may occur. Crews will implement measures to help minimize impacts to the surrounding community.
Trucks and heavy equipment will continue entering and exiting the construction site throughout the week to support excavation and earthwork. Crews will implement measures to help minimize impacts throughout construction.
Agoura Road Utility Work
Utility work is also scheduled along Agoura Road adjacent to the AWPF site. Southern California Edison is scheduled to conduct utility work in front of the AWPF site. Asphalt placement and paving will also be performed.
Traffic Impacts
Temporary traffic control will be required while this work is completed. Motorists may encounter flaggers and a single lane closure along Agoura Road. Please use caution when traveling through the area, follow posted traffic-control signs, and allow additional travel time.
Construction is a dynamic process. This information and the project schedule are subject to change due to weather, field conditions, and other factors.
